While perusing Hampton Style's latest Index (and learning things like a "Distinguished-benefactor table for ten to Robert Wilson's Voom Zoo Benefit" costs $50,000, while $2.19 will get you a gallon of milk at the IGA in Amagansett), we were strangely drawn to the interview with cover girl Ali Wentworth. Why? We're not sure, though we may have to investigate our attraction to women in swimming caps at some point.
Mainly, we're wondering how Wentworth ended up marrying George Stephanopoulos. She's wacky—not like Edie Beale in Grey Gardens wacky, but certainly a little off kilter in a harmless, fun sort of way. George? Not so much. Also, is crabbing as much fun as she makes it out to be and are we missing out on something here?
Also of note in the issue: Ruminations on lasering off your pubic hair, a late-season assessment of Tutto Il Giorno (it needs a little work), and some quality time with Nick Kraus from The Talkhouse.
