Like watching a crash in slow motion, you knew how this was going to end. But it's here. The last weekend of the summer. Let's make it a good one.

Bling But No Bang: Celebrate the fact that, as of Tuesday, you can no longer wear white. Everyone thought Diddy sold out earlier in the summer when he threw a mid-summer white party at the Hampton Bays club, the Whitehouse. But Diddy didn't disappoint because he's throwing the usual shindig this Sunday at his East Hampton home. The guest list will be decidedly more discerning than the last affair and $40 won't get you in the door. And sadly, East Hampton Town nixed his fireworks permit, so it'll have to be a demure, subtle affair.
Fake Breasts, Fake Blonds: Stereo by the Shore may actually have the lowest collective IQ of any spot in the Hamptons tonight. Quoth the press release: "What causes an internationally celebrated rock-icon to sublimate his ego and surrender to the irresistible allure of synthesized beats, dirty electro basslines, and searing, loopy melodies?" Stereo by the Shore, natch. Tommy Lee is DJing tonight—yeah, we know, it's kind of like watching Mike Tyson figure skate.
Even typing those words hurts. But we need to suck it up and face facts. We've got two weekends to work with here, so as a public service to our readers were going to give you a few tips to maximize your last few hours in the sun.

The view from the Montauket
The Fish Farm: Dog breeding meets geese meets seafood. This spot is not for the squeamish or those looking for fine dining and tablecloths. But if you don't mind wading through a muddy or teo, then the Fish Farm (properly, The Multi Aquacultural Systems) is the spot for some super fresh fish. Order at the little take out window, grab a picnic table down by the water, watch the sunset as you tuck into some steamers. And FYI it's BYOB. (429 Cranberry Hole Rd, Amagansett, 631-267-3341)
After the jump, a couple more slices of heaven...It's been an exceedingly boring summer in the Hamptons (more on that later) and the general malaise you're experiencing could—in extreme cases—lead you to question whether or not you're just bored or if you may have contracted the dreaded Lyme Disease. We're here to help with this handy guide to the symptoms of Lyme Disease and how those symptoms might be confused with boredom.
Lyme Disease Symptons:
It might be Lyme Disease If: You notice a ring of expanding redness around what you believe to be a tick bite. The ticks are tiny, therefore hard to spot, and a bite can easily be missed.
Boredom Explanation for Symptom: Remember that guy you dragged home from The Talkhouse last night? It was late, you were drunk, he was the one closest to the door? Do you recall him biting you at any point during the night? He may have, so consider this possibility carefully before running to the doctor.
It might be Lyme Disease If: You experience generalized fatigue, muscle and joint stiffness, swollen glands and headache.
Boredom Explanation for Symptom: This is an easy one to confuse with a hangover and it's happened plenty of times. How many shots did you have last night? Did you mix any combination of beer, wine and liquor? Drink some Gatorade, take a few Advil, rest. If symptoms persist, have a Bloody Mary.
Five weekends left. That's it and then it's end of story, sayonara summer, see you next season. This means only one thing: it's time to drink.

Michelada: For some, the idea of adulterating a beer with anything is sacrilege. There is though, one reason that even purists like us would consider taking such measures and that's to kick it up a notch. A little salt, some lime juice, and a little hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce and you'll be saying, Ay caramba!

Pimm Pomm: The British have always been astute imbibers and we Americans could certainly take a few tips when it comes to Pimm's, a spirit they're fond of, and we hardly drink. Pimms, pomegranate and a Granny Smith apple is all it takes for a little afternoon delight.

All you've done all summer is sit around in your beach chair drinking and tanning. All well and good, but there are people out there who need your help. So here's what you can do...

Shop for a Cause: Yes, it's Super Saturday 10 weekend. This is the greatest idea for a charity event ever because it capitalizes on one of women's greatest pleasures. It's like having a charity event for bears where they have to eat honey. Or for Lindsay Lohan where she has to drink and blow lines. On their web site they say it's a family event, but let's be honest: no guys are going to this voluntarily. But they raise millions for charity. And at the end of the day the ladies leave the field in an almost post-coital state of bliss.

Support the Arts: Robert Wilson's annual gala is on Saturday night at six at his Watermill Center—which is just outside Water Mill center. This year's theme: Voom Zoo. No idea what it means, but it definitely sounds funky and the pic from their web site (above) is pretty cool. Also, Wilson is a master of bringing in young artists and convincing them to do weird vaguely inappropriate things during the event. Which is always amusing.

OK, so usually we give you a few good tips before the weekend kicks off in the "Weekend Agenda." Then last weekend you came out but you didn’t go back home on Sunday night like you usually do. Basically, everyone is out here and Fourth of July week is in full swing, so we figured we should help you out with the "Week Agenda"...

Tuesday: Tonight you should have a clambake on the beach. Call up Claws on Wheels in East Hampton (631-329-3622), where they can put together a clambake for you on the fly. All you have to do is pick it up, grab some firewood from the grocery store, and head down to the beach. Keep it simple—and remember bug spray.

Wednesday: The great thing about Montauk is that they never kowtow to convenience out there. All the other towns are holding their fireworks this weekend on Saturday night so that the weekenders can get their fix for the Fourth. Not Montauk. They have their fireworks on the 4th of July—doesn't matter if it's a Friday or a Monday, if it's the 4th they're lighting them off. Head down to the beach and after the works, head over to the Memory Motel for some drinks. And let's hope the guy in charge of the fireworks stays sober this year so we don't have a repeat of last year's performance.

Usually crossing the Shinnecock Canal entails immediately opening your wallet and tapping into your trust fund. But not this weekend. Here's how to do it for free...

Free Fireworks: Friday night is the Southampton Fresh Air Home’s 20th Annual American Picnic, which features fireworks by Grucci. We feel ever so slightly guilty about this one because the Fresh Air Home does a lot of good work, but the fireworks are fantastic and a ticket will run you $250 or $1,500 for a seat at a table. If you’re generous, grab a ticket (and be prepared because it’s a family affair and there seem to be a lot of kids at this event with behavioral problems). If you’re not feeling so generous, grab a beach blanket and the best looking girl or guy you can find and hit the beach down on Meadow Lane in Southampton.

It's time now for another installment of the Beach 5-Spot. Below, a list of house essentials that no weekender should suffer another second without. Already got everything you need, say you? See you in line at KMart.
1) Sherry Lehmann: First things first, make sure the house bar is well prepared to handle the demands of summer. Strategic planning here will repay you tenfold. Hamptons delivery is free if you order the amount we think you should.
2) Hamptons Domestics: True devotees wouldn't dare spend a precious minute cleaning up. Hire someone to restore order and cleanliness (as well as recycle the Corona empties) at least once a week.
3) New York Times Delivery: Make sure the Times follows you east, or risk spending Sunday re-reading the glossies. And always, always ask before claiming the crossword.
4) Costco: Costco is your friend. Know it, love it, get a receipt. Key items: extra toothbrushes and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. When in doubt, buy ten.
5) Stevenson's Classic Toy Store: Of course, it never rains in the Hamptons. But just in case, pick up an extra deck of cards and some poker chips. Connect Four and Cranium never hurt anyone, either.
Sunday’s NY Times alerted us to the East End Experience Card, a discount program where $25 buys you any number of perks around town. After some careful research, it seems that the majority of deals are on the North Fork, so those who take day trips to the wineries will find the most freebies and discounts. However, the South Fork is not forgotten: Golden Pear addicts will find it pays to flash the card – specifically, in the form of a free latte or cappuccino at breakfast, and a free tropical iced tea come lunch time. For those who have been known to drop $25 there in a weekend, we advise further investigation.
